Medistrom Pilot-12 Lite Battery for DreamStation | CPAP Club

The Medistrom Pilot-12 Lite is a 95Wh lithium-ion backup battery purpose-built for 12V CPAP machines — most notably the Philips Respironics DreamStation and System One S60. Use it at home as automatic backup against power outages, or pack it for camping, caravanning, long-haul flights, and remote travel where 240V mains isn't reliable. It's lightweight (560 g), TGA registered (ARTG #301970), and small enough to fit in carry-on luggage.

Compatible CPAP Devices

The Pilot-12 Lite ships with the cable for the Philips DreamStation and System One S60 — both share the same DC connector. Cable kits for all other compatible machines are sold separately.

If your CPAP is a 24V machine (the entire ResMed AirSense range, the AirMini, AirCurve, or most modern BMC units), you'll want the Pilot-24 Lite instead. If you'd prefer a single battery that handles both voltages — useful if you own multiple CPAPs or are likely to upgrade — the dual-voltage Pilot FLEX covers 12V and 24V machines automatically.

How to Use It

There are two main configurations:

1. Home backup — leave the Pilot-12 Lite permanently connected between your CPAP and the wall outlet. If mains power drops out overnight, the battery takes over instantly without interrupting therapy, then recharges automatically when power returns.
