CPAP Fabric Wraps & Pads Guide

What's the difference between fabric wraps, pads, and mask liners?

All three are comfort accessories that address skin contact issues, but they target different parts of the mask system. Mask liners sit between the silicone cushion and your face at the seal point — addressing irritation caused by direct cushion contact. Fabric wraps and pads address the headgear itself: strap wraps are soft fabric sleeves that cover the headgear straps to prevent chafing and marks on the cheeks and sides of the face, while forehead pads cushion the pressure points where the mask frame or headgear rests against the forehead. If you're experiencing soreness specifically from the straps rather than the cushion, wraps and pads are the right solution. If your headgear straps are stretched or broken rather than simply uncomfortable, a full headgear replacement may be needed alongside or instead. Fabric wraps should be washed regularly — hand wash in warm water with a mild detergent and air dry before reuse. See our CPAP cleaning products for suitable options.
