The Seatec SleepTight Chin Strap supports the jaw to prevent mouth breathing during nasal CPAP therapy. Neoprene elastic, adjustable multi-strap design, worn over the mask. Small, Medium and Large.
The Seatec SleepTight Chin Strap is a stable, adjustable chin strap designed for nasal and nasal pillow mask users who breathe through their mouth during CPAP therapy. Made from wetsuit-type neoprene elastic, it supports the jaw and helps keep the mouth closed during sleep. Worn over the CPAP mask. Available in Small, Medium and Large — most users will be a Medium.
Who Is This For?
The Seatec Chin Strap suits nasal and nasal pillow mask users whose jaw falls open during sleep, allowing therapy air to escape through the mouth. Symptoms include waking with a dry mouth, a feeling of air bubbling through the lips as you fall asleep, or difficulty maintaining comfortable therapy pressure due to mouth leaks. The chin strap supports the jaw from below to keep the mouth closed — it does not cover the mouth itself. If you experience air leaking through your lips specifically, even with a chin strap, the Seatec Chin and Mouth Strap provides fuller coverage and may be more effective.
Key Features
- Stable multi-strap design — one of the most secure chin strap designs available; less likely to shift or be removed unknowingly during sleep than simpler single-strap alternatives
- Adjustable top and back Velcro straps — both straps can be adjusted independently for a customised, comfortable fit; Velcro back strap allows easy removal on waking
- Wetsuit-type neoprene elastic — breathable, soft, and moulds to the face; designed to be comfortable throughout the night without causing heat or pressure
- Worn over the CPAP mask — designed to sit over your existing mask headgear without interfering with the mask seal
- Designed by a sleep technician — created by a clinician to address the limitations of smaller, less stable chin straps that users were removing during the night without realising
How to Measure Your Size
Measure around your head from under your chin, up to the crown of your head (going just in front of your ears and over your forehead), then back down to the starting point under your chin. Most users will be a Medium. If your measurement falls between sizes, the smaller size is usually the better fit as each size has further Velcro adjustment available.
- Small — approximately 54 cm
- Medium — approximately 60 cm
- Large — approximately 66 cm
Important — Compatibility
The Seatec Chin Strap is designed for use with nasal masks and nasal pillow masks only. It is not suitable for use with full face masks.
