The ResMed Lumis 150 VPAP ST-A is a non-invasive bilevel ventilator with alarms, designed for non-dependent patients with respiratory insufficiency or obstructive sleep apnea. It runs the same six-mode IntelligentAir platform as the Lumis 150 VPAP ST — and adds a settable alarm package for patients and carers who need closer monitoring. Supplied here with the HumidAir heated humidifier, ClimateLineAir heated tube and built-in 4G wireless connectivity.

• Settable alarm package (ST-A only) — alarms for high leak, low minute ventilation, apnoea, non-vented mask and low SpO2 (when an oximeter is connected), plus fixed power-fail and system-fault alarms for added safety.
• iVAPS (intelligent Volume-Assured Pressure Support) — learns the patient's alveolar ventilation, sets a target, then smoothly adjusts pressure support to maintain it.
• Intelligent Backup Rate (iBR) and optional AutoEPAP — backup breaths only when needed, with optional automatic expiratory-pressure adjustment to keep the upper airway open.
• Six therapy modes — CPAP, S, T, ST, PAC and iVAPS, covering a wide range of prescribed ventilation needs.
• IntelligentAir comfort tech — Vsync maintains synchrony despite mask leak; TiControl and five trigger/cycle sensitivity levels let your clinician fine-tune timing.
• Automatic humidification — HumidAir and ClimateLineAir deliver consistent warmth and moisture via Climate Control Auto, reducing dryness and rainout.
• Built-in 4G wireless and AirView — therapy data uploads automatically for remote monitoring, with Ramp and Ramp Down for comfort.

Who Is This For?

The ST-A is prescribed where ventilation support needs alarm monitoring — for example in higher-acuity respiratory insufficiency, or paediatric patients (indicated for patients over 13 kg, or over 30 kg in iVAPS mode). It's a clinician-prescribed, physician-followed device. If your prescription doesn't call for alarms, the lower-cost ResMed Lumis 150 VPAP ST runs the same modes without the alarm package.
