About the UltraSoft™ Memory Foam Cushion

The AirTouch F20 uses ResMed's UltraSoft™ memory foam — a proprietary open-cell foam material that softens and conforms to the contours of the face as it warms during use, creating a personalised, pressure-distributing seal. Unlike silicone cushions that maintain a fixed shape, the memory foam adapts uniquely to each user's facial profile night after night. The foam surface is significantly softer to the touch than silicone and is particularly well suited to users who experience skin irritation, pressure marks, or sensitivity at the nose and mouth area from conventional silicone masks.

When to Replace

ResMed recommends replacing the AirTouch F20 memory foam cushion monthly. The foam degrades faster than silicone under normal facial oil exposure, so monthly replacement is important for maintaining both hygiene and seal quality. Signs it's time to replace include reduced seal performance, visible foam breakdown or discolouration, or persistent odour. The cushion must not be submerged in water or washed with soap — water breaks down the foam structure. Wipe after each use with non-alcoholic CPAP mask wipes only.
