About the Pixi Cushion

The Pixi uses a thin, single-wall silicone elastomer cushion designed with a child's smaller, softer facial structure in mind. The cushion is intentionally lightweight and minimal — it makes contact only at the nose, keeping the child's eyes and most of the face visible to caregivers during the night. The two tubing attachment locations on the cushion allow the CPAP tube to be routed to either side, adapting to different sleeping positions without needing to reconfigure the mask. Soft without being fragile, the cushion maintains an effective seal even with the movement and repositioning that active young sleepers are prone to.

When to Replace

ResMed recommends replacing the Pixi cushion every 6 months under normal use, or sooner if you notice increased leaks, visible silicone softening or discolouration, a tacky feel after cleaning, or any reduction in seal quality. Clean daily with mild soap and warm water or CPAP mask wipes, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight. Avoid antibacterial soaps as these can break down the silicone over time.
