About the Pico Cushion
The Pico nasal cushion is constructed from silicone bonded to a clear polycarbonate shell — a combined design that is lighter and more stable than a silicone-only cushion. The silicone sealing surface and the clear acrylic frame are permanently attached to each other and cannot be separated for cleaning or replacement individually. This integrated construction keeps the cushion lightweight and allows it to adjust automatically to movement during sleep, maintaining a consistent seal without requiring tight headgear tension.
When to Replace
Replace the Pico cushion every 6 months under normal use, or sooner if you notice increased leaks, visible silicone softening or discolouration, a tacky feel after cleaning, or any reduction in seal quality. Clean daily with mild soap and warm water — wash the entire cushion as one unit as the silicone and shell cannot be separated. For a quicker daily clean, CPAP mask wipes are a convenient alternative. Rinse thoroughly after soap washing and air dry away from direct sunlight.
