ResMed HumidX is genuine waterless humidification for the AirMini travel CPAP. For everyday use with AirFit N20, AirTouch N20, AirFit N30, and AirFit P10 masks. 3-pack and 6-pack. Replace every 30 days once opened.
ResMed HumidX is the genuine waterless humidification system for the AirMini travel CPAP when paired with an AirFit N20, AirTouch N20, AirFit N30, or AirFit P10 nasal or nasal pillow mask. A small heat-and-moisture exchanger (HME) that inserts between your mask connector and the AirMini tubing, HumidX captures heat and moisture from your exhaled breath and releases it back on the next inhale — softening dryness and throat irritation without needing distilled water. The standard HumidX is designed for everyday use in typical Australian climates. Available in 3-pack and 6-pack sizes.
Key Features
- Waterless humidification: No water tank, no spillage, no distilled water needed — ideal for travel, camping, and air travel.
- Built for everyday use: Standard moisture capture for typical Australian homes and moderate climates — most users won't need anything more.
- Heat-and-moisture exchanger (HME): Captures heat and moisture from your exhale in tiny paper ridges, releases on your inhale for soothing comfort throughout the night.
- Compact and lightweight: Adds virtually no bulk to your AirMini travel kit.
- Disposable, 30-day life: Each disc lasts 30 days once opened — replace on schedule for consistent performance.
- Genuine ResMed: Manufacturer-specified parts 38809 (3-pack) and 38810 (6-pack).
How HumidX Works
HumidX isn't a water-based humidifier. It's a heat-and-moisture exchanger — a small disc made of layered paper ridges that captures heat and moisture from your exhaled breath as it passes through. When you inhale, the warm humidified air is released back through the disc, softening the dry pressurised air coming from the AirMini. The result is more comfortable, less drying therapy without any water tank, distilled water, or risk of leaks during travel.
Standard or Plus — Which HumidX?
The standard HumidX (this product) is the right pick for everyday use in typical Australian homes and moderate climates — most CPAP users will never need anything more. HumidX Plus is worth the upgrade when:
- You're flying — aircraft cabins are extremely dry (typically 10–20% humidity)
- You're travelling to high altitude (3,000m+) where the air is significantly drier
- You're in an arid environment — desert regions, inland Australia in summer, dry winter air in heated bedrooms
- The standard HumidX isn't giving you enough moisture and you're waking up dry
Compatibility
For use with the ResMed AirMini Travel CPAP only, paired with one of the following nasal or nasal pillow masks via their respective AirMini Setup Packs:
- AirFit N20 (via N20 AirMini Setup Pack)
- AirTouch N20 (via N20 AirMini Setup Pack)
- AirFit N30 for AirMini (via N30 AirMini Mask Setup Pack)
- AirFit P10 for AirMini (via P10 AirMini Mask Pack)
The HumidX disc inserts between the mask connector and the AirMini tubing.
Using a Full Face Mask?
If you use an AirFit F20, AirFit F20 For Her, or AirTouch F20 full face mask with your AirMini, you need the HumidX F20 instead — same waterless principle, but with a different fit that clicks directly into the F20 mask cushion. The two HumidX products aren't interchangeable. The AirFit F30 has no HumidX option at all.
Replacement Schedule
Each HumidX disc lasts 30 days once opened — regardless of whether you've used it every night or only on travel days. The paper ridges absorb moisture over time and lose effectiveness whether you're using the disc daily or not. The 3-pack covers roughly 3 months of replacement; the 6-pack covers 6 months. Replace immediately if the disc has been exposed to liquids, visible debris, or significant moisture.
Important — Do Not Wash
HumidX is disposable, not washable. Attempting to wash, rinse, or submerge the disc destroys the paper-ridge structure and makes it unusable. Keep it dry and away from heat or direct sunlight when not in use. Replace on schedule rather than try to clean.
