About the UltraSoft™ Memory Foam Cushion

The AirTouch N20 uses ResMed's UltraSoft™ memory foam nasal cushion — a proprietary open-cell foam material that softens and conforms to the contours of the nose as it warms during use, creating a personalised seal that adapts to each user's facial profile. Unlike a silicone nasal cushion that maintains a fixed shape and relies on headgear tension to seal, the memory foam moulds precisely to the nose's contours with minimal pressure. This makes it particularly well suited to users who experience nasal bridge marks, skin sensitivity, or difficulty achieving a leak-free seal with conventional silicone nasal cushions.

When to Replace

ResMed recommends replacing the AirTouch N20 memory foam cushion monthly. The foam degrades faster than silicone under normal facial oil exposure, so monthly replacement maintains both hygiene and seal quality. Signs it's time to replace include reduced seal performance, visible foam breakdown or discolouration, or persistent odour. The cushion must not be submerged in water or washed with soap — water breaks down the foam structure. Wipe after each use with non-alcoholic CPAP mask wipes only.
