How It Works

The Quick-Release Tube is the bridge between your Amara View mask and your main CPAP breathing tube. The mask end has a built-in elbow that clips onto the front of the mask frame, with the quick-release tabs that let you pop the tube off without disturbing your headgear fit. The opposite end terminates in a 22 mm cuff with a 360° swivel, so the main breathing tube can rotate freely as you move during sleep.

Compatibility

This tube is designed exclusively for the Philips Respironics Amara View full face mask — it works with all Amara View cushion sizes (Small, Medium, and Large) and any Amara View headgear. The 22 mm cuff at the swivel end connects to a standard CPAP breathing tube, so it works with any CPAP machine using the universal 22 mm cuff connection.

Not compatible with the original Amara, the AmaraGel, or any other CPAP mask. The Amara View has a unique mask-frame fitment, and other masks use different short-tube designs.

When to Replace

Replace your Quick-Release Tube every 6 to 12 months as part of standard mask maintenance, or sooner if you notice cracks, leaks at the elbow or swivel, hardening of the tubing, or a swivel that no longer rotates freely. Short tubes can wear faster than the main breathing tube because they flex constantly with head movement during sleep.

Cleaning & Care

Hand-wash the tube weekly in warm water with a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and air-dry out of direct sunlight. Don't use harsh chemicals, bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, or expose the tube to high heat — it isn't autoclavable.
