About the AirTouch F30i ComfiSoft Cushion

The AirTouch F30i uses ResMed's ComfiSoft fabric cushion on the F30i's top-of-head tube frame — an under-the-nose full face design. The ComfiSoft fabric layer is a silicone-coated woven material that is softer and more breathable than plain silicone, helping to reduce heat and moisture buildup at facial contact points during overnight therapy. Unlike the AirTouch F20's UltraSoft memory foam, the AirTouch F30i ComfiSoft cushion must not be submerged in water — the fabric-to-silicone bond is damaged by immersion. Wipe cleaning only.

When to Replace

ResMed recommends replacing the AirTouch F30i ComfiSoft cushion every 6 months under normal use, or sooner if you notice reduced seal quality, fabric fraying or breakdown, or persistent odour. The ComfiSoft cushion must not be submerged in water or washed with soap — water can break the bond between the fabric layer and the silicone core. Wipe with non-alcoholic CPAP mask wipes after each use only.
