BMC G3 X A20 auto CPAP machine with your choice of full face mask and machine colour (black or white). Includes 360 mL humidifier, heated tubing and 4G modem — ideal for mouth breathers starting CPAP therapy.
The BMC G3 X A20 Auto CPAP Machine with Full Face Mask puts BMC's newest auto CPAP and the full face mask of your choice into one kit, ready to set up the night it arrives. You choose the machine colour (black or white) and the mask. A full face mask covers both your nose and mouth, so it is the usual starting point if you breathe through your mouth while you sleep.
Why Buy the G3 X as a Package?
- Everything to start therapy in one order: machine, humidifier, heated tubing and mask arrive together.
- Your choice of colour: black and white are the same machine with identical features and settings, so the choice comes down to how it looks on your bedside table.
- Your choice of mask: you pick the full face mask that suits your face and the way you sleep, rather than taking whichever mask happens to come in the box.
- One invoice for machine and mask, which keeps things simple if you are claiming through private health insurance, NDIS or DVA. Check your eligibility with your fund or plan first.
About the BMC G3 X
The G3 X is the newer generation of BMC's popular G3 A20 auto CPAP. The full feature breakdown is on the BMC G3 X auto CPAP machine page. These are the points that matter most day to day:
- Auto pressure that follows your airway: the G3 X works between the minimum and maximum pressures you set (within 4–20 cmH₂O) and raises pressure when it detects your airway narrowing. A Pressure Response setting of Soft, Standard or Fast controls how quickly it reacts.
- SmartA (optional): chooses a starting pressure after the ramp based on your last five nights of effective therapy, then gradually refines your pressure limits over time.
- 360 mL humidifier with heated tubing: the large chamber holds enough water for a full night. The heated tube reduces condensation that can otherwise drip into a full face mask.
- RESlex exhalation relief: three levels that ease the pressure slightly as you breathe out.
- Quiet operation: 28 ± 2 dB(A), plus pre-heating, Auto On, Auto Ramp and Auto Off.
- 4G modem included: sends your therapy data to BMC's PAPLink portal without needing Wi-Fi, and you can check your own nightly results in the free PAP Link app.
Choosing Your Full Face Mask
Every full face mask seals around your nose and mouth, but there are two quite different ways of doing it. Working out which one suits you narrows the list quickly.
Over-the-nose (traditional)
The cushion runs up over the bridge of your nose. This design holds a robust seal, and many people find it easier to keep sealed at higher pressures or if they move a lot in their sleep. Options include the ResMed AirFit F20, AirFit F20 for Her, AirTouch F20 (memory foam cushion) and Mirage Quattro, and the Fisher & Paykel Simplus and Vitera.
Under-the-nose (minimal contact)
The cushion seals under the tip of your nose and around your mouth, leaving the bridge of your nose clear. That is a good fit if you wear glasses in bed, read before sleep, feel closed-in by larger masks or get red marks on your nose. Options include the ResMed AirFit F30i, AirTouch F30i Comfort and AirFit F40, the Fisher & Paykel Evora Compact and the Philips Amara View and DreamWear Full Face.
If you sleep on your side or move around a lot, look at the masks with the tube connecting at the top of your head (AirFit F30i, AirTouch F30i Comfort and DreamWear Full Face). That keeps the hose off your pillow and away from your face. If you are unsure of your size, the Evora Compact and Vitera Fit Pack options come with more than one cushion size so you can try them at home. Our guide to choosing the right CPAP mask goes into more detail, or you can browse all full face CPAP masks to compare them individually.
Who Is This For?
This package suits adults with obstructive sleep apnea who breathe through their mouth during sleep, often wake with a dry mouth, or have a blocked nose often enough that a nasal mask would struggle. It's a practical choice if you're starting CPAP for the first time and want auto pressure, heated humidification and remote data sharing without paying a premium-brand price. You can also compare other auto CPAP packages side by side.
It isn't the right fit for everyone. If you breathe comfortably through your nose, a smaller mask usually feels less intrusive, so the G3 X with nasal mask or G3 X with pillow mask may suit you better. If you already own a mask you're happy with, the machine on its own is better value. The G3 X is designed to treat obstructive sleep apnea; if you've been diagnosed with central sleep apnoea or have been prescribed bilevel or ASV therapy, talk to your sleep physician before buying.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Both colours are the same G3 X A20 machine, with identical pressure range, humidifier, heated tubing, 4G modem, accessories and warranty. Choose whichever suits your bedroom. Replacement parts such as water chambers and filters fit either colour.
Most people who need a full face mask know it already: they wake with a dry mouth, their partner notices they sleep with their mouth open, or their nose is often blocked. If you're unsure, try breathing only through your nose for a few minutes while lying down. If that feels like a struggle, start with a full face mask. If it's easy, a nasal or pillow mask is often more comfortable. Your sleep physician or GP can also help, especially if your sleep study noted mouth breathing.
Fit is the most common reason a new mask feels wrong, and it's often the headgear tension rather than the size. Before swapping sizes, loosen the straps so the cushion just touches your face, then lie down with the machine running and adjust while it's under pressure. If you're between sizes or unsure, choose a Fit Pack option, which includes more than one cushion size. If you're still having trouble, contact our team before you give up on it.
You don't need a prescription to buy an auto CPAP machine in Australia. We do strongly recommend having a sleep study first, so you know you have obstructive sleep apnea and your sleep physician can recommend the pressure range to set. The G3 X adjusts within the limits you set, so a sleep study report gives you a sound starting point.
Yes. The G3 X works with standard nasal, nasal pillow and full face masks from the major brands, so you're not locked into the mask you choose today. Many people start on a full face mask and later move to a smaller mask once they're used to therapy, or the other way around. Masks are also sold separately if you'd like a spare.
This is condensation, often called "rainout". It happens when warm, humid air cools on its way to the mask, and it's most noticeable in a cold bedroom. The G3 X's heated tubing is designed to prevent it, so if you still see water, lower the humidity level by one step and make sure the tube is fully connected at both ends. Keep the machine lower than your head so any water runs back towards the chamber rather than into the mask.
