Customise Your Purchase

BMC G3 X A20 auto CPAP machine with your choice of nasal pillow mask and machine colour (black or white). Includes 360 mL humidifier, heated tubing and 4G modem — the lightest, most open way to wear CPAP.

The BMC G3 X A20 Auto CPAP Machine with Pillow Mask puts BMC's newest auto CPAP and the nasal pillow mask of your choice into one kit, ready to set up the night it arrives. You choose the machine colour (black or white) and the mask. Nasal pillows are the smallest, lightest CPAP masks available. They suit people who breathe through their nose and want as little mask on their face as possible.

Why Buy the G3 X as a Package?

  • Everything to start therapy in one order: machine, humidifier, heated tubing and mask arrive together.
  • Your choice of colour: black and white are the same machine with identical features and settings, so the choice comes down to how it looks on your bedside table.
  • Your choice of mask: you pick the pillow mask that suits your nostrils and the way you sleep, rather than taking whichever mask happens to come in the box.
  • One invoice for machine and mask, which keeps things simple if you are claiming through private health insurance, NDIS or DVA. Check your eligibility with your fund or plan first.

About the BMC G3 X

The G3 X is the newer generation of BMC's G3 A20 auto CPAP. Full details are on the BMC G3 X auto CPAP machine page. In short:

  • Auto pressure: works between your set minimum and maximum (within 4–20 cmH₂O), lifting pressure only when your airway narrows. Because pressure stays lower for much of the night, the airflow through pillows tends to feel gentler than at a fixed high pressure.
  • SmartA (optional): chooses a starting pressure after the ramp based on your last five nights of effective therapy, and gradually refines your pressure limits.
  • 360 mL humidifier with heated tubing: pillows send air straight into your nostrils, so warm, moist air makes a real difference to nasal comfort. The heated tube helps stop condensation in the hose.
  • RESlex exhalation relief: three levels that ease the pressure slightly as you breathe out.
  • Quiet and hands-free: 28 ± 2 dB(A), with pre-heating, Auto On, Auto Ramp and Auto Off.
  • 4G modem included: sends your therapy data to BMC's PAPLink portal without Wi-Fi, and you can see your own results in the free PAP Link app.

Choosing Your Pillow Mask

All nasal pillow masks seal at the opening of your nostrils, so the main differences are in how the mask is held in place and where the tube goes.

Tube at the front

The short tube comes from in front of your nose, with simple, lightweight headgear. These are the lightest and simplest pillow masks. Options include the ResMed AirFit P10 and AirFit P10 for Her, and the Fisher & Paykel Brevida, Pilairo Q, Nova Micro and Solo Pillows.

Tube at the top of the head

The frame runs over your cheeks and the tube connects at the crown of your head, keeping the hose off your pillow and away from your face. These suit side and stomach sleepers and people who move a lot. Options include the ResMed AirFit P30i and the Philips DreamWear Silicone Pillows.

Nasal pillow sizes depend on the size of your nostrils rather than your face, and a size that's too large for your nostrils is a common cause of soreness. If you're unsure, the Solo Pillows Fit Pack and DreamWear Silicone Pillows Fitpack include more than one pillow size so you can find your fit at home. Our guide to choosing the right CPAP mask has more help, or you can browse all nasal pillow masks individually.

Who Is This For?

This package suits adults with obstructive sleep apnea who breathe through their nose, want the most open field of view, and dislike the feeling of a mask on their face. That includes people who read or watch TV in bed with glasses on, those who feel claustrophobic in larger masks, and men with beards or moustaches that make cushion seals harder to hold. You can also compare other auto CPAP packages side by side.

Pillows aren't for everyone. Because air goes directly into your nostrils, some people find them less comfortable at higher pressures. If your sleep study recommended a high pressure, the G3 X with nasal mask spreads the airflow over a larger cushion. If you breathe through your mouth during sleep, choose the G3 X with full face mask instead. If you already own a mask that works for you, the machine on its own is better value. The G3 X is designed for obstructive sleep apnea; if you have central sleep apnoea or have been prescribed bilevel or ASV therapy, speak with your sleep physician first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some tenderness in the first week or two is common while your nose gets used to the pillows, and it usually settles. Check that the pillows aren't too large, as they should rest at the opening of your nostrils rather than being pushed in, and that the headgear isn't pulling them upwards. Raising the humidity level can also help. If soreness continues beyond a couple of weeks, or your skin breaks, stop and try a different size or mask style.

Pillow masks work across the G3 X's full pressure range, but comfort is personal. Some people find the direct airflow harder to tolerate at higher pressures. If your sleep study recommended a high pressure, or you notice a strong jet of air or nasal irritation, try a nasal mask. Because the G3 X is an auto CPAP, it sits at lower pressures for much of the night and rises only when needed, which many pillow users find helps.

No. Both colours are the same G3 X A20 machine with the same pressure range, humidifier, heated tubing, 4G modem, accessories and warranty. The only difference is how it looks. Replacement parts such as water chambers and filters fit either colour.

You don't need a prescription to buy an auto CPAP machine in Australia. We do strongly recommend a sleep study first, so you know you have obstructive sleep apnea and your sleep physician can recommend the pressure range to set. The G3 X adjusts within the limits you set, so a sleep study report gives you a sound starting point.

Yes. The G3 X works with standard nasal, nasal pillow and full face masks from the major brands, so the mask you choose now doesn't lock you in. Some people keep a pillow mask for everyday use and a nasal or full face mask for nights with a cold. Masks are also sold separately. If you'd like help choosing, contact our team.
