ResMed ClimateLine Heated Tubing for S9 CPAP Machines

The genuine ResMed ClimateLine Heated Tubing (36995) for S9 series CPAP machines. Works with the H5i humidifier as part of ResMed's Climate Control system — eliminates rainout and maintains warm air at the mask all night. 2m slim tube. Australian stock.

The ResMed ClimateLine Heated Tubing (part 36995) is the genuine original-spec heated breathing tube for the ResMed S9 series CPAP machines. Designed to work with the H5i heated humidifier as part of ResMed's Climate Control system, ClimateLine uses a built-in mask sensor to deliver consistent warm humidified air to your mask — virtually eliminating rainout (condensation) in the tube on cool nights, even as room temperature and humidity change throughout the night.

Key Features

  • Genuine ResMed: Manufacturer-specified part 36995 — the only heated tube designed for S9 + H5i.
  • 2 m (6'3") length, 15 mm slim inner diameter: Lighter and more flexible than 22 mm tubing — reduces drag on your mask through the night.
  • 22 mm cuff connection: Connects to any standard CPAP mask using the universal cuff fitting.
  • Built-in mask sensor: Monitors temperature at the mask end of the tube and adjusts heating to maintain your preferred Climate Control setting.
  • Plug-and-play with the H5i: The specialised cuff plugs straight into the H5i humidifier and the system is ready to use — no extra hardware required.
  • Eliminates rainout: Maintains warm air along the full tube length to prevent moisture pooling and the mask gurgling that comes with it.

How ClimateLine Works

ClimateLine is more than a heated hose — it's part of ResMed's integrated Climate Control system. The heating element draws power from the H5i humidifier, not directly from the S9 machine, which is why the H5i is required for the heating function to work. Sensors at both the machine end and the mask end of the tube continuously monitor temperature and humidity, and the system adjusts the heat output in real time to keep air at the mask consistent with your Climate Control setting — regardless of room temperature changes through the night.

Compatibility

For use with the ResMed S9 series CPAP machines with the H5i heated humidifier:

  • S9 Escape
  • S9 Elite
  • S9 AutoSet

H5i humidifier required. The S9 machine alone can't power the heating element — the H5i is what supplies power to the tube and integrates with the Climate Control system. If you don't have an H5i, you'll need to use a standard non-heated tube instead.

Not for S9 VPAP / BiLevel Machines

The standard ClimateLine (this product) is not for ResMed S9 VPAP series machines — including VPAP S, VPAP Auto, VPAP ST, and VPAP Adapt SV. These require ClimateLine MAX, which has a wider 22 mm tube to handle BiLevel pressures. If you have a VPAP machine and need a heated tube, contact CPAP Club directly to source the correct MAX variant.

AirSense 10 or S9?

This ClimateLine is exclusively for the S9 series. If you've upgraded to an AirSense 10, you need the ResMed ClimateLineAir for AirSense 10 instead — same Climate Control concept, but with a different connector and built-in humidifier integration. The two tubes aren't interchangeable. AirSense 11 owners need ClimateLineAir 11. Always check the model badge on your machine before buying.

Heated or Non-Heated?

If you don't experience rainout, or you don't run an H5i humidifier, a non-heated tube is a lower-cost alternative — try the ResMed SlimLine Tubing for a similar slim profile, or the universal ResMed Standard Air Tubing 2m. The ClimateLine is the right pick when rainout or moisture-related mask noise is consistently disrupting your therapy.

Cleaning & Care

Wipe the ClimateLine down weekly with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not fully submerge or autoclave — the tube wall contains electrical heating components and sensors that can be damaged by water immersion. Air-dry on a flat towel out of direct sunlight before reconnecting power. Don't use bleach, harsh chemicals, or alcohol-based cleaners.

When to Replace

Replace your ClimateLine every 6 months as part of standard maintenance — sooner if you notice cracks, holes, persistent odour, visible internal build-up, or any inconsistency in heating performance (e.g. the tube no longer feels warm despite the Climate Control setting being active). The S9 ClimateLine is now considered a legacy product as ResMed has moved to ClimateLineAir for newer machines, but genuine S9 stock remains available.
