The filter is located in the slot at the back of the machine — pull out the old filter and slide the new one straight into the same slot.

AirSense 10 or AirSense 11 — Make Sure You Have the Right Filter

The AirSense 11 uses a completely different filter from the older AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, S9, and AirStart 10 — different shape, different size, different slot location on the machine. The filters aren't interchangeable. If you have an older ResMed machine, you need the S9 / AirSense 10 Hypoallergenic Filter instead. Check the model name printed on your device — "AirSense 11" or "AirCurve 11" means this is the right filter; anything else means you need the older-machine version.

Standard or Hypoallergenic — Which Filter?

The standard AirSense 11 filter works fine for most users in clean indoor environments. The hypoallergenic filter (this product) is worth the upgrade if:

• You have allergies, hay fever, asthma, or other respiratory sensitivities
• You live with cats, dogs, or other pets that shed
• You're sensitive to polyester (the standard filter is polyester-based)
• You live in a dustier environment — rural areas, near construction, or older homes
• You wake up congested or irritated and the standard filter isn't keeping up

Replacement Schedule

Replace your CPAP filter approximately every month — the 12-pack is sized to last roughly a year of monthly replacement. Replace sooner if you notice visible discolouration, dirty patches, or a drop in airflow. Users with pets, allergies, or in dustier environments may want to check weekly and replace more frequently. Replace immediately if the filter has been exposed to liquids or visible debris.

Important — Do Not Wash

The hypoallergenic filter is disposable, not washable. Attempting to wash, rinse, or vacuum the filter damages the synthetic fibre matrix and reduces filtration effectiveness. Replace it on schedule rather than try to clean it.
