ResMed S9 / AirSense 10 CPAP Filter - Hypoallergenic

Genuine ResMed Hypoallergenic Filter for S9, AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, AirStart 10, and Lumis. 98% filtration at 7–8 microns — captures pollen, dust, pet dander, mould spores. Available in 2-, 12-, and 50-pack.

The ResMed Hypoallergenic Filter is the genuine high-efficiency replacement filter for ResMed S9, AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, AirStart 10, and Lumis CPAP and BiPAP machines. With 98% filtration efficiency at 7–8 microns — significantly higher than the standard ResMed filter — it captures fine dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores, and other airborne allergens before they reach your airway. Ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers, pet owners, and anyone in a dustier environment. Available in 2-pack, 12-pack, and 50-pack sizes.

Key Features

  • 98% filtration efficiency at 7–8 microns: Significantly higher capture rate than the standard ResMed filter, which captures around 75% at the same particle size.
  • Captures fine dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores: Targets the airborne particles most likely to trigger allergy and asthma symptoms.
  • Disposable, latex-free design: Non-woven acrylic and polypropylene fibres with a polypropylene carrier — replace rather than wash.
  • Genuine ResMed: Manufacturer-specified part — fits all original ResMed filter slots without trimming or modification.
  • Available in three pack sizes: 2-pack (part 36856), 12-pack (part 36857), and 50-pack (part 36858) — choose based on your replacement schedule.

Hypoallergenic vs Standard — Which Filter?

ResMed makes two filter types for the S9 / AirSense 10 family. The standard filter captures around 75% of airborne particles at 7–8 microns and works fine for most users in clean indoor environments. The hypoallergenic filter (this product) captures around 98% at the same size — a significant step up if you're sensitive to pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mould spores, or fine smoke particles. Common reasons to upgrade to hypoallergenic:

  • You live with cats, dogs, or other pets that shed
  • You have allergies, hay fever, asthma, or other respiratory sensitivities
  • You live in a dustier environment — rural areas, near construction, or older homes
  • You wake up with congestion or irritation that improved after starting CPAP and is now returning
  • It's hay fever season and your usual filter isn't enough

Compatibility

Compatible with all of the following ResMed machines:

  • AirSense 10 series: AirSense 10, AirSense 10 Elite, AirSense 10 CPAP, AirSense 10 AutoSet, AirSense 10 AutoSet 4G, AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her
  • AirCurve 10 series: AirCurve 10 S, AirCurve 10 ST, AirCurve 10 VAuto, AirCurve 10 ASV
  • AirStart 10: all variants
  • S9 series: S9 Escape, S9 Elite, S9 AutoSet, S9 VPAP S, S9 VPAP Auto, S9 VPAP ST, S9 VPAP Adapt SV
  • Lumis series

Not for the AirSense 11. The newer AirSense 11 uses a differently-shaped filter that isn't interchangeable — the matching upgrade is the AirSense 11 Hypoallergenic Filter

Replacement Schedule

Replace your CPAP filter approximately every month — the 12-pack is sized to last roughly a year of monthly replacement. Replace sooner if you notice visible discolouration, dirty patches, or a drop in airflow. Users with pets, allergies, or in dustier environments may want to check weekly and replace more frequently. Replace immediately if the filter has been exposed to liquids or visible debris.

Important — Do Not Wash

The hypoallergenic filter is disposable, not washable. Attempting to wash, rinse, or vacuum the filter damages the fibre matrix and reduces its filtration effectiveness. Replace it on schedule rather than try to clean it.
