ResMed Mirage Activa LT Diffused Elbow

The genuine ResMed diffused elbow for the Mirage Activa LT nasal mask — the connector that joins your mask to the CPAP tube, with the mask's quiet exhalation venting built in. The Mirage Activa LT has been discontinued by ResMed, but genuine replacement parts like this elbow remain available, so you can keep a mask you're happy with going rather than replacing the whole thing.

What "Diffused" Means

The diffuser vents sit on the elbow itself. Instead of pushing exhaled air out in a single concentrated jet, they spread it gently across a wider area and a shorter distance — so the airflow is softer and quieter, and far less likely to disturb a bed partner. The elbow's internal partition also helps wash out exhaled CO₂. ResMed rates this diffused-vent design at roughly 49% quieter than the original Mirage Activa. It's the early forerunner of the QuietAir diffused venting on ResMed's current masks.

Compatible Masks

This elbow is built for the Mirage Activa LT, and because they share the same frame it also fits the Mirage SoftGel and Mirage Micro nasal masks. If you run any of the three, this is your elbow.

Looking After the Diffuser

Keep the diffuser vents clean and clear so the airflow stays quiet — and let the elbow dry fully after washing, as trapped humidifier condensation in the vents can cause a fluttering noise.
