About the Pilairo Q AirPillow™ Seal

The Pilairo Q uses F&P's AirPillow™ seal — an inflatable silicone nasal pillow that self-inflates with therapy air pressure rather than relying on a fixed rigid shape. As therapy air flows through the mask, the AirPillow gently inflates against the outside of the nostrils, creating a seal that automatically adjusts its pressure to match the therapy pressure being delivered. This means the seal becomes more secure at higher pressures rather than requiring tighter headgear to compensate — making the Pilairo Q particularly well suited to users on elevated therapy pressures who struggle with pillow mask leaks.

When to Replace

Replace the AirPillow silicone seal every 6 months under normal use, or sooner if you notice increased leaks, visible silicone softening or discolouration, a tacky feel after cleaning, or persistent odour. Clean daily by gently washing with mild soap and warm water or CPAP mask wipes, rinse thoroughly, and air dry away from direct sunlight.
