About the Headgear

The Swift FX for Her headgear assembly uses adjustable elastic straps designed to deliver a secure, low-profile fit without unnecessary bulk. A well-fitting headgear is essential for keeping the mask in position during sleep — even minor movement or slippage can break the seal and reduce the effectiveness of your therapy. Over time, the elastic in any headgear naturally loses its tension, which is one of the most common causes of unexpected mask leak. Replacing the headgear restores that tension and gets your mask performing as it should.

Care & Cleaning

Hand wash the headgear weekly in warm water with a mild liquid soap. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Do not use bleach, chlorine, alcohol, scented soaps, or moisturising or antibacterial soaps, as these can degrade the materials over time. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. When to Replace

Plan to replace your headgear approximately every 12 months, but replace it sooner if you notice any of the following: straps have stretched out, lost their shape, or no longer hold adequate tension; visible fraying, pilling, or material breakdown of the elastic or fabric; the mask is harder to fit correctly or no longer maintains a good seal; or if there is discolouration, staining, or odour that won't wash out. Like all CPAP consumables, headgear is a normal wear-and-tear item — keeping it fresh is a simple step that makes a real difference to your therapy.
