About the Back Panel

The back panel wraps around the back of the head and connects to the mask frame and headgear straps to hold everything in position during sleep. When the back panel stretches, deforms, or becomes difficult to adjust, it can cause the mask to shift position, leading to leaks and disrupted therapy. Replacing a worn back panel is a simple, cost-effective way to restore the fit and performance of your existing Nova Nasal mask without replacing the entire assembly.

Care & Cleaning

Hand wash weekly in warm water using a mild liquid soap. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Do not use bleach, chlorine, alcohol, scented soaps, or moisturising or antibacterial soaps. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Squeeze out excess water gently — do not wring — and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight. When to Replace

Replace the back panel approximately every 12 months, or sooner if you notice any of the following: the panel has stretched and no longer holds its shape or tension; visible fraying, pilling, or material breakdown; the mask is harder to position correctly or no longer maintains a reliable seal; or discolouration, staining, or odour that persists after cleaning. Like all headgear components, the back panel is a normal wear-and-tear consumable.
